ARE YOU READY FOR THE BEST SUMMER EVER?
WE ARE !!

Scio Church Stables offers an engaging and educational equine experience for youth age 5-10 of all riding levels.
Our camp program teaches safe horsemanship in a fun and supportive environment.

This year, Scio Church Stables will offer all full day camps, as that is what the majority of our families ask for.
A different theme and set of activies is planned for each week, so there will always be something new.

Campers ride twice per day under the supervision of our experienced riding instructors. To ensure that each camper receives ample guidance, we maintain a minimum 5:1 rider:instructor ratio, plus C.I.T. assistance. When not riding, campers will be actively engaged in all aspects of horse care as well as participate in worthwhile art projects and traditional camp activities. (Activities subject to modification)

Our Head Counselor this year is ANNA KELLER.   Anna is an avid animal lover with lots of experience helping children and adults interact with horses, ponies, and even camels!  (We do not have camels at SCS!!)
Anna will conduct daily activities including art class this year, and is busy thinking up great projects.
Anna is also our Pony Party Coordinator, and so knows kids and ponies!  She is a recent Graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Russian and minoring in Geological Science.

NEWTHIS YEAR
We have engaged PAM BAUER, accomplished horse trainer and highly experienced riding instructor, to oversee our morning riding lessons.  Pam enjoys working with children (as well as adults) and is quite familiar with our SCS horses and ponies.

Our Assistant Counselor is Ben Ehrlich.  Ben has participated in Summer Camp at SCS in previous years as a CIT, and is now ready to take on his own crew of Campers! Ben is a student at Skyline High School in Ann Arbor.  Ben actively rides and shows in a variety of disciplines.

If you are interested in a C.I.T. position, please complete the Application.  We would love to meet you!
