The Lundbergs have owned Scio Church Stables since May, 2005.  We have made many improvements to the 200 year old farm, and continue to renovate and modernize, while preserving original charm.  Love of horses and equestrian sport is the basis of Scio Church Stables.  We share our passion for healthy horses and quality riding and lessons in a harmonious setting.

ANNA KELLER
Special Events Coordinator

Summer Camp Head Counselor 2012

Anna is an energetic and outgoing person who has extensive experience working with animals, people, and people interacting with animals!  She has worked with everything from ponies to draft horses to camels to lorakeets!

Anna joined SCS in 2011 as our first dedicated Special Event Coordinator.  She will make sure your Pony Party or other celebration is organized, fun, and safe.

Summer 2012 will be Anna's first year as Head Summer Camp Counselor.  In addition to overseeing our Assistant Conselors and Counselors-In-Training, Anna will be conducting off-horse activities including Art Class.

Anna is a well-rounded individual, with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan, majoring in Russian language and minoring in Geologic Science.  She also has special expertise in ski equipment, and currently works at Ann Arbor's Sun & Snow!
HALLEY SISSOM

Hunt Seat, Eventing, Beginners, Training, Re-training
Halley's main equestrian interest is Eventing, which combines dressage, stadium jumping and cross country racing.  She has competed in Dressage at a national level.  Halley was captain of her Chelsea High School Equestrian Team, Captain of her Albion College Equestrian Team,and Equestrian Coach for the new Skyline High School in 2008 & 2009.  She has worked with the Albion College Summer Equestrian Camps.  Halley enjoys working with beginners, but also with intermediate riders and those who need to work on problematic aspects of their horse/rider relationship.
Halley is currently successfully training and showing a 3 year old warm blood mare.

Roy provides valuable assistance and advice,  from harvesting the hay, to building our new fences, to helping keep the place in order.  THANKS ROY!!

Scio Church Stables' Barn Manager

Dee oversees the care of all animals and facilities at SCS.  She provides outstanding, individualized care to each horse, as well as the dog, cats, chickens, stray pigeons and people, too.  She is observant and sensitive to the interests of  each, and uses her exceptional communication skills to promote harmony around the barn.  The farm is a healthy, beautiful, restful place, much to the credit of Dee and her family.

Pam Bauer
We are pleased to announce that Pam Bauer will be teaching at our
Summer Horsemanship Camp in 2012! 

Pam is an accomplished rider, trainer, and teacher, specializing in jumping disciplines and dressage.  Born and raised in Germany, she earned her training license as well as her judging license for dressage to Level 3 and jumping to 1.5m (5 feet) there.  Pam won the Silver Medal in Germany, and taught for 15 years, coaching the Bavarian Pony Team to winning national championships.  Pam has also worked and trained in Austria, where she studied under Franz Steiner, who remains an important teacher an mentor for her.

Pam then moved to Japan, where she showed through FEI Level 5, training with Japanese Olympian Meiko Yagi.  She was Cheif Instructor for the Tokyo Riding Club, and trained horses and riders through Grand Prix.

Pam now lived in Dundee, Michigan, where she is resident Owner and Trainer of German Magic Farm. Pam continues to actively show, train, and teach students of all ages and experience levels.  She believes in developing a partnership between the horse and the rider.  A warm and friendly person, Pam effectively teaches in a relaxed and supportive style.  Learn more about Pam at www.germanmagicfarm.com.
