Celebrate a Birthday, Bat Mitzvah, or make any day an Occasion!
Where:
Scio Church Stables' cozy Observation Room - heated in the Winter, cool in the Summer. Tables and chairs available for groups of 4 to 24. Our barn is located on a paved road with a gravel driveway and parking lot. We have a nice, lighted indoor arena.
When:
Saturday afternoons, 4:00 to 6:00. Your party will be held rain or shine, sleet or snow.
Who:
Kids ages 4-12, escorted by trained SCS staff 1:1 as they ride our experienced ponies or horses in an indoor arena.
What We Will Be Doing:
For the first hour, we will assemble and ride! Ponies will be clean, saddled up, and ready to go. The number of kids to ponies will determine the amount of time each participant rides. Kids are quite variable in how much time is "enough". Some have achieved a major accomplishment just getting on, and some kids need to be peeled off the saddle no matter how long they have been on!
After riding, refreshments may be served in the Observation Room overlooking the Indoor Arena (yes, there is a sink to wash hands!). You may want to open presents. Pinatas and/or face painting available.
What to Bring:
The Observation Room will be decorated for the occasion, or you can bring your own special accents. Domino's delivers to SCS! Bring your own cake, or we can take care of that for you!
What to Wear:
Cowboys and girls can dress for the occasion, or can simply arrive with sturdy shoes, riding-friendly clothing (long pants), and weather -appropriate coat and/or gloves. Bring a riding helmet if you have one, or use our riding helmets. No flip-flops, please!
What will it Cost?
How many ponies will you be needing? A basic Pony Party with 2 ponies/horses for up to 12 kids is $200. Each additional pony/horse is $50. Domino's delivers to SCS! Bring your own cake, party favors and/or pinata, or we can provide - call for current price. Face painting $60 for 2 hours, which gives each child time to have a design painted. Do you have a special idea you would like to incorporate? Let us know, and we will do our best to make your child's dream come true.
