Scio Church Stables Horse Boarding
Our basic philosophy:
Promotion of happy, peaceful horse ownership by providing outstanding horse care in a beautiful, harmonious setting.

High quality hay/forage is the basis of the horse's diet.  Pelleted/concentrated feed is used to supplement calories and nutrients.  Pasture, hay and concentrated feed amounts are tailored to the individual horse's body habitus, thriftiness, activity level and vary with the seasons.

Mental and physical health is promoted by liberal turn-out in compatible groups, rotating pastures dependant on season, conditions, horse group nutritional needs.
Scio Church Stables'
facility and operations are FULLY INSURED through Farm Bureau Insurance.

Scio Church Stables has Great Instructor/Trainers
Scio Church Stables hosts a small but active, high quality lesson & training program.  Needs of the lesson progam and boarders are carefully considered and balanced.  Clinics may be periodically scheduled, dependant on popular demand.  In the interest of safe and harmonious sharing of our facility, we do not accept outside instructors/trainers.

Optional Horse Participation in Lesson Program
As a horse owner, you have the option of allowing your horse to participate in the lesson program according to your specifications.  Your horse gets excercise under supervision, and gets to work to ward his board!  Note that actual participation in a lesson is determined soley by the instructor based on his/her judgement of the horse's suitability for the individual riding student at that time.   Periodically, students may be interested in partial horse leases, which may also work out to mutual benefit.
Have a friend who would like to work with/ride your horse with you?
Please let them know riding carries some risk and have them complete a Liability Release Form.
